City View Sanctuary Condo: Stuart Family
My husband had a stem cell transplant on May 22, 2014. We have been here 5 1/2 weeks. The City View Sanctuary Condo has been our Home-away-from-Home.!! We are so happy we chose to stay in this Serenity House Network condo.
The location has been perfect as we have been able to walk back and forth to Methodist Hospital, Mayo Clinic and surrounding area. We love everything about this condo!
Jodie, Greg and all the Serenity House Network staff, Thank you for making our stay perfect and for your unending help…
Love,
Sunny Place Cottage James Apt: Mayer Family
I am feeling very grateful knowing that my husband and father-in-law enjoyed such a wonderful home-away-from-home.
We are headed to Gauthier House for the remainder of our adventure.
Because of the Serenity House Network, our family, including 2 small children, can be together to support my husband during this challenging time.
Because of the previous guests who have written in this guestbook before us, I know we are not alone. Thank you.
Red River House: Foust Family
Dear Heidi and Kevin,
Thank you so very much for providing us with a beautiful, comfortable place to stay while recovering. I enjoyed walking your property. It was so peaceful by the river. I found plenty of quartz rocks in the river. The bald eagle nest was also a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed feeding the Orioles too.
I told everyone at Mayo that I am staying with Serenity House Network and asked them if the could please recommend you to other patients.
Thank you again for all your directions and advice for our stay.
Love and Light,
Serenity House Brigid Apt: Stolen Family
February 28 – May 30, 2014
After being diagnosed with cancer on December 6, 2013, we have been making trips to Mayo every week to visit Steve in the hospital. Steve’s children (all 5) have taken turns coming to Mayo along with me to be with Steve for every moment of this horrendous ordeal.
When we realized he would be here for 100 days after his stem cell transplant we panicked to think we might be in a hotel for 3 months without a kitchen or the comforts of home. A nurse at Mayo told us about Serenity House Network which sounded too good to be true. After meeting with Greg and Jodie we knew right away that this is where we wanted and needed to be.
Our prayers were answered with the perfect situation at the Serenity House Brigid Apt. Greg and Jodie have been more than accommodating and we have made friends with other transplant patients who have come and gone during our stay here.
If ever we need to come back for another stay, our first call will be to Serenity House Network.
Sincerely,
Sunny Place Cottage James Apt: Miller Family
Serenity: calm, tranquil, serene
Yes, that most definitely describes our experience at our Serenity House Network apartment (Sunny Place Cottage James).
During such a challenging time in our life it meant the world to land in such a comforting space that we could call home this past month.
Thanks so much to Greg, Jodie and the rest of the Serenity House Network staff. You’ve created an oasis for others. It soothed our spirits, and released a huge burden from our shoulders.
We wish you well as you continue the important work you do.
Holly’s House Michael Apt: Schmillen Family
Luke and I are so grateful for Serenity House Network. The Holly’s House Michael Apt was a great place to stay and was very homey and clean. We felt extremely comfortable here and did not need anything that wasn’t already provided. All of the Serenity House Network staff have been awesome! Thank you for the hospitality at the Michael Apt!

March 31, 2014 – May 19, 2014
We needed a place to stay through my mom’s bone marrow transplant and found Serenity House Network during an internet search. We spent the majority of our time at Holly’s House Erin Apt. When we ran into some complications and needed to extend our stay, Greg and Jodie couldn’t have been more accommodating. They even hand-delivered the mail after our move to the Johnston House Quincy Apt!
I can’t say “thank you” enough to the whole Serenity House Network group for making this stressful family event as comfortable as possible.
Gauthier House: Jansen Family 2014
Dear Serenity House Network,
Thank you for advertising in the Mayo housing pamphlet so we were able to stay at the Gauthier Home. We so appreciate being able to find a house that made our long stay more comfortable and relaxing. Deb was very helpful and able to give us suggestions when we asked. Each day was stressful with medical issues but coming “home” was enjoyable.
Thank you,

Our family truly loved staying in this home during our mom’s surgery! We shared a lot of laughter, meals, and love. Thank you so much for making our stay so easy and enjoyable! Yours sincerely,

Heidi and Kevin,
Your home has been a refuge and place of healing during such a difficult time. Being able to come “home” every day was such a blessing! This is the nicest place I’ve ever stayed at in all my trips to Mayo. The walking trails and beautiful property gave clarity and peace of mind.
Red River House and Serenity House Network have touched my heart deeply and I am carrying that home with me. I would especially like to thank Greg, Jodie, and Christine for their time and kind hearts during my stay. A special thanks to Ronda who was my SHN “new best friend”. She is an angel and continually checked on me during my stay. With an unexpected trip to the ER, Ronda stayed with me at St. Mary’s until I was released to return home to Red River House!
I could feel God’s love and comfort in everyone I have met while being here on my own. I also want to thank Heidi and Kevin for their hospitality and generosity. There was no detail missed in providing a safe, clean, healthy, and comfortable place to stay! So much love and thought has gone into this ministry and I could not be more grateful! Serenity House Network holds a special place in my heart and I will continue to support and promote this amazing ministry for years to come.
May God continue to bless you as you are the hands and feet of Jesus!
In His love,
