Holly’s House Michael Apt: Klahr Family
The Holly’s House Michael Apartment quickly felt like home while we were attending the Pain Rehab Center at Mayo. It was comfortable and clcean, with every amenity I can think of, and provided the perfect atmosphere to unwind after long days at the Clinic. Greg and Jodie were so warm and welcoming. We were truly blessed to stay here.
City View Sanctuary Condo: Morrison Family
April 15 – May 7, 2014
My son, Mitch, was here for the pediatric pain rehab clinic. The program was awesome. We have HOPE again.
Greg, Jodie, and all the Serenity House Network people, “THANK YOU!!!” for making our stay perfect.
We did many local activities…Oxbow Park (free), Quarry Hill (free), bowling at Recreation Lanes, and many others.
The weather during our stay was the same as in Maine where we live.
Again, many thanks,
White River House Priscilla Apt: Potts Family
April 14 – May 6, 2014 I totally appreciated and loved the tranquil location and feel of a home here in the White River House Priscilla apartment. The bald eagles and their nest were very therapeutic during my stay. The tranquil waters flowing down the river aided in my relaxation as well. Wonderful visit,
Sunny Place Cottage James Apt: Lindell Family
This cottage was a very quiet, warm, worthwhile place to stay. We could keep to ourselves, but yet when we needed help, someone was always there. Cute little cottage. Very neat and clean. I recommend Sunny Place Cottage. I’m sure any of the Serenity House Network properties would be perfect.

It has been a blessing for us to find a home to rent while in Rochester while I am being treated for multiple myeloma. What a wonderful service you are providing patients of Mayo Clinic. Keep up the good work! Thank you and may God Bless you!!!
Johnston House Sierra Apt: Rosinski Family

Holly’s House Michael Apt: Pearman Family
We cannot thank Serenity House Network, and especially Greg and Jodie, enough for all the wonderful support they have given us while we were here in Rochester. The Michael apartment was much nicer than I could ever have expected. We have enjoyed hosting the Pain Rehab Center (PRC) families here for dinner and fun and many have expressed how nice it was to be in a home rather than a hotel room.
We enjoyed going to the Mall of America, climbing at Prairie Walls, the many visits to Barnes and Noble, going to the Archery Headquarters and much more. We enjoyed eating at Hunan Garden, Pannekoeken, and Whiskey Creek Woodfire Grill.
We have recommended Serenity House Network in the PRC book that is available for families to share their experiences and hope many more families have the same great experience we have had while here.
Best Wishes,
Stem Cell Transplant Story: Alwood Family
In 2009, my husband needed a stem cell transplant. We reviewed the materials provided to us by Mayo Clinic. I researched the extended stay options and also some of the hotels. With our experience over the years, we knew which hotels we preferred and which ones to avoid. We found Serenity House Network in the Lodging Guide. We called the owners of SHN and spoke to them about their properties. I rented a duplex, for an extended period of time, from them over the phone. When you are facing so many health challenges, the last thing you need to worry about is where you are going to stay. We found no worries when we arrived at our duplex. It was a home away from home. We found solace in the set-up provided by Serenity House Network.
In 2011, we were faced with a second transplant. The least of our worries was where we would stay. We were able to obtain a rental with Serenity House Network again. For the first time ever, we spent the Easter holiday away from our extended family and our home. I was able to cook our traditional Easter meal. We were able to spend quality time together. Our children were able to be with us. If we had stayed at the Transplant House, our children would not have been allowed to visit. Transplant patients need the support of their family and friends. Having a place where our family could come and go was such a benefit.
We have stayed in 5 different properties with Serenity House Network. Each one was well maintained and cleaned. The SHN properties are cleaned and sanitized with transplant cleaning products after each family. There were games and books available. Our children were able to stay with us during the summer. We were able to walk in the neighborhood and play basketball and baseball at the local school playground. We were able to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the quiet evenings. We were able to use the grill and cook out and enjoy ourselves.
The experience and knowledge that the owners of Serenity House Network have are a benefit. They cater to their guests. They offer a personal touch that a hotel cannot give you during a time of medical crisis. We believe the support Serenity House Network gives is invaluable. They gave us time to be together as a family in a family atmosphere.
Red River House: Hunt Family
Dear Heidi, Kevin and Serenity House Network,
Thanks again for a wonderful place to stay during my treatments at Mayo. After staying with Serenity House Network before, I knew I’d be coming to a great place with caring people. I was here this time for radiation treatment as the last part of my cancer treatment journey, so I hope that I won’t have to be up here again. But if I do, I will definitely be calling Serenity House Network. It’s so great to have “home” when going through things that can make you nervous.
Thanks again,
Sunny Place Cottage Julianna Apt: Halom Family
We arrived on March 3rd in preparation for a 6-week stay for a stem cell transplant due to my diagnosis of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma – peripheral T-cell type. Plans changed after the stem cell collection when the bone marrow biopsy results showed lymphoma cells. So I was scheduled for 1 cycle of ICE chemo now and will return in April for another cycle. If all-clear, I will proceed to the stem cell transplant in May.
Our stay at Julianna has been so wonderful – our home-away-from-home. We are from Superior, WI and this has provided us flexibility for family and caregivers, as well as a safe and clean environment. The daily commute to Mayo was easy. I recommend getting a parking pass to ease the need for paying daily.
We are hoping to be able to stay with Serenity House Network again when my stem cell transplant gets rescheduled.
Thanks to Greg and Jodie for the support and help. We also loved the welcome gifts and fresh bread – so yummy!
