Serenity House Brigid Apt: Garrels Family 2015
Thank you so much for providing a beautiful temporary home for our family. Bruce had a kidney transplant at Mayo Clinic and our son, Dustin, unselfishly donated a kidney.
I’ve been looking for places for this extended stay with the comforts of home and that could accommodate our family as I knew we were staying for 3-4 weeks in Rochester. This apartment did just that. It was clean and comfortable to come “home” to after long days at Mayo.
We made a lot of meals, baked cookies, and did laundry. Needless to say, this helped in the expense from going our for meals and going to the laundry mat.
Thank you, Greg, for your hospitality. I would definitely recommend Serenity House Network to anyone looking for a place with the comforts of home.
God bless!

Our stay at Evy’s House was perfect — comfortable, warm, and clean with a great backyard with rabbits.
Serenity House Patrick Apt: Larach Family 2015
Dear Greg and Jodie,
Our house was everything we could wish for. We enjoyed living in a clean, quiet and relaxing atmosphere during the course of my father’s treatment at Mayo Clinic.
We are grateful for all your kindness during our stay. Hopefully we will see you again if we need to come back to Mayo in the future.
Thank you for making this our “home away from home” during our stay in Rochester.
God bless you!
City View Sanctuary: Moser Family 2015
My son, Andy, and I took this trip together. I met him in Las Vegas where he resides and I’m from Florida. From the first phone call with Greg, we felt comfortable and less anxious. Meeting Greg and Jodie was even better.
My son was blessed with the best possible news and it made my Mother’s Day. He will have follow up in Vegas. If we had to stay longer, this was the best “home away from home” for sure.
Serenity House Network definitely gets a shout out if anyone needs to come to Mayo Clinic.
God bless you all for everything you do.
Sunny Place Cottage James Apt: Becker Family 2015
Thank you so much for providing our cozy home away from home during a very stressful time. Jodie and Greg are perfect hosts — available to requests, offering support and care, while respecting our privacy.
Their network of volunteers provided holiday surprises and treats which were especially appreciated during our five month stay.
At the James Apartment in Sunny Place Cottage, we were able to have several family celebrations that included our children, grandchildren, and friends. Now we are celebrating a successful stem cell transplant!
Johnston House Quincy Apt: Allison Family 2015
May 2015
We came to Rochester six months ago for a 1-2 day visit. We’ve been able to go home a handful of days since then, but today we check out and are on our way home permanently.
Getting in touch with the kind people of Serenity House Network was one of the best decisions that we made. They helped us piece together housing until Quincy was available long-term; both of the SHN properties that we stayed in were homey and comfortable.
It took a lot of stress off of us to be able to move into a place with only our personal belongings and have it feel like home. Quincy even had a room for overnight visits from family, making life seem “normal.”
The personal touches were especially nice — the Christmas tree, the carolers, the holiday treats, the friendly visits. We appreciated it all.
No one can imagine a need for your services until put in that position. We want to thank you for your kindness and helping us through the last few months.
God bless you all.

May 2015
In September of 2014, Dave was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. One of the most difficult decisions we had to make was where to stay while in Rochester. Dave’s medical team recommended we begin looking for a place to live in Rochester for 6-8 months while Dave received medical treatment. It was important to find somewhere our college and high school age kids could visit, stay and be comfortable.
Finding Serenity House Network was an amazing blessing! Within minutes of meeting Greg and Jodie, we knew Serenity House Network was the right decision. We were provided a wonderful place to call home while Dave underwent chemotherapy treatments and a blood marrow transplant.
If our journey takes us back to Rochester for extended time, we will definitely utilize Serenity House Network again!
White River House Aquila Apt: Kittleson Family 2015
Serenity House Network,
This home has truly been a blessing to our family! For us it was a “home away from home” and far exceeded anything we could have had at a hotel. What you guys do as a team for families undergoing something at Mayo is really a wonderful thing! We were all able to be together during this difficult time and feel at home.
The Aquila Apt is absolutely stunning! With the breathtaking views from the house, the eagles soaring above, and the peaceful sounds from the river, it really was a relaxing stay and a way for us to remain peaceful during this difficult time.
Thank you for all that you do!

March 16 – April 25, 2015
Thanks for such a great place to stay while in Rochester. It was nice to have our own place to stay during my stem cell transplant. We appreciated being able to extend our stay after I learned I would have to stay five more days. My daughter worked with Greg and Jodie to secure our accommodations.
I will spread the word about Serenity House Network to all my friends and family.
Thanks!
Alwood House Scott Apt: Eagle Family 2015
March 28 – April 23, 2015
Thanks so much to Serenity House Network and to Jodie & Greg for everything!
Having a comfortable place with all the comforts of home, away from the hospital, has been such a blessing. Thanks also to the amazing “Easter Bunny” who showed up at just the right time and brightened our holiday though away from home & family. Your suggestions, kindness, gift cards, Welcome Bread, and all the other extras meant a lot and made us feel loved.
Serenity House Network is an incredible organization and I’m so glad we were told about it on our last trip to Mayo Clinic. Having our own space and not being cooped up in a one-room hotel room (like our last visit) especially after long days at the Pain Rehab Clinic was truly a godsend. Thanks for everything!
Love,
