How do we put in words what this has done for us? First of all, the peace and quiet was so healing. We have been through so many doctors in the U.S. but thank God for Mayo Clinic! They are our answer to prayer.

What a difference a month can make in your health and well being. The comforts of a real home versus a hotel — no comparison. We would rather cook than go out to eat so this setting worked very well. The coupons and gift cards was such a blessing.

My husband had a double hip replacement, thyroid issues, and was being evaluated for a liver transplant so rest was key for a complete recovery so that we could travel back to Florida.

We truly appreciate this very comfortable home away from home. Stan’s process has been amazing and he was always glad to come back to the apartment for a much needed rest in a nice quiet neighborhood. We have had some very nice walks and enjoyed our visits to Silver Lake Park. Again, our deepest appreciation . We have many good memories here.

Thank you for the service provided to us in our time of need. To have a place open to us that we could call home during the medical procedure I faced was a blessing.

Also the support and care shown during our stay were greatly appreciated. The gifts and donations received were also a plus that was unexpected.

To have a place to retire to after a very busy day of appointments at Mayo, to just be able to relax and rest up before the next session began was greatly appreciated.

We are deeply grateful for this wonderful place to stay during our almost month-long stay in Rochester for the PRC clinic. Thank you for the greeting of a kind welcome, gluten-free bread, lovely gift cards and a clean, friendly home to welcome us each evening. It made our stay in Rochester so much more comfortable and encouraging.

The washer and dryer was so helpful, along with a way to cook food and store it. All the comforts of home were here.

God bless you as you minister to others and as you provide affordable housing to those who are overwhelmed with medical burdens and costs.

Dear Heidi, Kevin, Jodie & Greg, Thank you so much for accommodating us at the Red River House. We had a great stay in the house. We especially appreciated the extra toys, high chair and awesome yard for Sola to play in. You are doing wonderful work for people in need. Thank you!

The Alwood House and Serenity House Network have been such a great home away from home for our family. After four years of coming to Mayo we discovered SHN. We will be returning for another extended visit and look forward to staying in a different SHN property. We’re glad that the stress of where we will be staying will be taken care of ahead of time.

I was in the Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Clinic for 3.5 weeks. This was by far the best place to stay. Coming back to the Julianna apartment every day was just like coming home. This already feels like a second home, and I will definitely miss it.

What you are doing at Serenity House Network is truly the work of God. This home setting nurtures the spirit of those who are away from that familiar home setting by providing many amenities that you don’t get at a hotel. Our family was able to include the children in the transplant process to help them better understand their father’s process and needs as well as help him have the love of his children for healing.

Our needs were so clearly met that we were able to heal with as little distraction as possible from our environment — from having the washer & dryer and dishwasher handy to Greg & Jodie taking care of the lawn and flowers. Also, having the DVD player helped pass the time well.

I especially like the Sierra Apartment in Johnston House because it was a short walk to Silver Lake Park and to the grocery store, as well as close to Mayo Clinic. I felt very much at home here.

My best way to thank the people who support Serenity House Network is to tell you I will be praying for all those who support it. That they can find a way to continue this work. Healing is not just about medical & physical health where numbers become important, but about tending to our spiritual health and growth where our soul is important. People need both tended to, to live fully and Serenity House Network truly supports this holistic healing. Thank you.

We are so grateful to have found the Priscilla Apartment to stay in while Larry was having radiation therapy. Serenity House Network is truly a perfect name for your group. This provided a quiet, peaceful and comfy place to stay during the four weeks we were here in Rochester. We loved the country-like setting with the Zumbro River in the backyard and kept an eye out for the eagles nearby. We also took advantage of the wonderful trail system throughout the town to bike or walk.

Thanks again for a comfortable place to stay to make a difficult time less stressful!

May 6 – 16, 2015

This residence did not take long to become our home away from home. It is so relaxing to have a place to prepare meals, sleep in separate bedrooms, or just lie on the couch or in a recliner for a good nap. A much wiser choice than a hotel and eating out for every meal.

The Serenity House Network staff was very kind from the first phone call to the checkout process. We felt like part of your family. We appreciate the invitation to church without any pressure. The advice on grocery options was very appreciated also. The gift cards were quite an unexpected surprise as well. Greg & Jodie were very helpful and at a level that was in no way intrusive.

If we ever need to come to Mayo again, Serenity House Network will be our very first phone call.
