Dear Heidi & Kevin, and Serenity House Network,

Thank you for providing me with a wonderful place to stay while I participated in the PRC. It is a lovely place, both inside and outside; and after a few days of transition from my home in Waterloo, this became a real home to me. I found myself referring to it as home to my friends at the PRC. Most of them stayed in hotels which was not anywhere near as happy, comfortable and pleasant for them. I will recommend SHN and the Red River House to many people when they need to plan a stay in Rochester.

SHN, you really minister to people in need, offering comfort as well as wonderful housing to people in need. Jodie and Greg, your kindness and encouragement as well as your weekly talks at the PRC are greatly appreciated.

Heidi, you also ministered to me in a great way. Thank you for offering hospitality, something greatly valued by God. Your help, kindness, and open willingness to talk if I needed to I will never forget. Thank you.

We just want to thank all the wonderful people of Serenity House Network for all they have done for our family. During our week here we were treated like family. Having a “home” to come to at night is such a relaxing feeling. It gave our daughter a better atmosphere to heal in.

We can never thank you enough for all you do .

June 3 – August 29, 2014

I am so thankful that we had the opportunity to make the Patrick Apartment our home after my stem cell transplant. After spending six months in the hospital, I needed some privacy. This home was perfect!

We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. I would recommend the Serenity House Network to anyone who is looking for a quiet and clean place to stay.

August 2 – 26, 2014

My son, Adam, and I made the journey from Wisconsin to Minnesota, we were nervous and afraid of the unknown. We were coming to spend three weeks at Mayo so my son could attend the PRC program. We knew a hotel wasn’t for us and so after searching online I knew the Serenity House was the perfect place for us.

After spending long hours at the PRC program, it was a blessing to come home here and have our own space and feel like this was our home. I made many friends here as did my son. I would recommend it to anyone. It sure made our time away from home a whole lot easier. My son said to me, “I’m going to miss our little apartment.”

By the way, my son did an amazing job in the PRC. I feel blessed we were able to come. I think his future just became a little bit brighter.

Thank you so much for making home away from home a little bit nicer.

May 13 – August 21, 2014

We absolutely loved staying at one of the Serenity House Network homes while Rachel recovered from her bone marrow transplant. We could not have asked for a better experience during hard times.

We would like to thank the Serenity House Network for making us feel welcome at all times, even bringing birthday pies from Bakers Square!

July 28 – August 19, 2014

Bill Wickenhauser & family would like to thank Serenity House for the use of one of their homes. Bill and his sisters, Lucy, Jane & Sue, would like you to know that it made the whole transplant experience go smoothly.

We had a beautiful home to come home to everyday. It helps so much with the time spent in Rochester.

We would also like to thank the Gauthier family, without their gift of their home this would not have been possible.

Dear Jodie & Greg,

We really appreciate the service you are doing for transplant patients. It was so nice to know we had a wonderful cottage to call home for 6 weeks. We knew it was sunny, clean, and as “homey” as we could ever find. It was also nice to know there were no pets or smoking allowed.

We could not have asked for better housing or “landlords.” Your mission is a blessing and you will remain in our prayers.

Thank you, Heidi, for your wonderful hospitality. This was so much better than a hotel which can be very depressing. I loved having all of this space which made me feel like I was home. This is a great service you are providing for PRC patients.

Luke and I are extremely grateful to have found Serenity House Network. We were able to be on our own and not worry about a whole bunch of rules. Greg & Jodie and all the other Serenity Staff were always caring and accommodating to our needs.

Sunny Place Cottage was/is an inviting home and was “sunny” even on our darkest days. I truly believe that it would have been more difficult of a recovery after Luke’s Allo bone marrow transplant if we had stayed any where else.

Serenity House Network has been a Godsend to us and we have and always will sing praises for Serenity House and the staff of “angels.” We will be forever thankful to you all. You are truly angels on Earth! God Bless you all!

My mom and I stayed here for July 2014 while I was at the Pain Rehab Clinic. It was so comfortable staying in a more home-like environment rather than a hotel. Thank you Serenity House Network for the most comfortable stay we could have hoped for so close to the hospital.
