Cliffy Apt 2016: The Holtz Family find a home away from home
Thank you so much for making us feel at home, when we were away from home. The amenities are A+ !! Sincerely,
Erin Apt 2016: Mayo patient housing near beautiful trails
The fresh loaf of bread brought to the door was fabulous — very tasty and much appreciated! Like others have mentioned, the best part of the Erin Apartment is having a little home away from home. A place to come back to and relax when it was so needed! Thanks also for keeping the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed.
An added bonus is the beautiful Cascade Creek and Zumbro River trails nearby (approximately five blocks east of Erin). We walked these trails many times during our stay.
Thanks for making our stay here available! And also for the bonus Mayo Parking Passes and the many other gifts to get us started!
Sierra Apt 2016: The Chevalier Family’s long-term stay
Thanks for the prayers and making us feel welcome. Christmas was amazing — thank you to everyone for your warmth and generosity.
Patrick Apt 2016: Lodging for a Mayo Clinic cancer patient
It was such a relief when my daughter found the Serenity House Network for me and my husband to stay while my husband underwent treatment for cancer. My husband was in the hospital for part of the time we had the Patrick Apartment.
Family and friends were able to visit us here which was great as we needed their support during this difficult time.
Thanks SHN for providing these services to those of us in need. Thanks for all you do!
James Apt 2016: The Wilcox Family finds a “home away from home”
Sunny Place: What a blessing you have been to our family. You have been comfortable, peaceful, and a supportive atmosphere to heal. We are forever thankful for this “home away from home”. Greg and staff: The smiles and hospitality made our stay wonderful! Thank you very much. Love,
Baptist Hospitality House 2016: A fully furnished home for a kidney transplant patient and donor
My husband, Tim, has had failing kidneys for the past six years due to diabetes and high blood pressure. The hand of God has truly been with us during our journey with many answered prayers.
We were in Rochester in October to see if Tim would be a good candidate for a transplant. The tests were favorable for one, but he had to have a living donor. Both our daughters wanted to be tested, so our oldest daughter, Tara, tested first. She was a match 3 out of 6. Our other daughter, Kim, tested a few weeks later. She did not have her results back yet, but she had a dream that she was a match 5 out of 6. The next day Mayo called her to say she was a match 5 out of 6 (another prayer answered).
The surgery was set for April 18th. We were praying Tim would not have to go on dialysis before the surgery as he was getting weaker by the day. No dialysis, another prayer answered. We needed to find a place to stay and that’s when another prayer was answered when we found Serenity House Network. The only property available was Baptist Hospitality House. We booked it immediately for a month.
We are leaving almost two weeks early because Tim is doing so well, Kim also. Another prayer answered. We are truly grateful for our time spent here. It was so much more comfortable than a motel room. Thank you SHN.
Thank you, Jesus, for the many answered prayers. Your power is great.
Mae Apt 2016: A home away from home for a Mayo patient and family
This was such a lovely home! Thank you so much for letting my family and I be a part of your wonderful network. With all the exhausting and scary appointments and tests I had done while at Mayo, it was really nice to have this little home away from home. It was really helpful to know that at night when I came home, there were lots of fun movies and games to help me relax, and a comfortable and safe place for me to sleep.
I wouldn’t have picked any other house to stay at!
Thank you Serenity House Network!
Quincy Apt 2016: A quiet and “homey” apartment for a Mayo transplant patient and family
When we found out that our transplant was a go at Mayo Clinic, my wife and I were thrilled! (My lovely wife, Cindy, was my donor!) We were surprised to discover we would need to stay in Rochester for a month. As we searched for options, we discovered Serenity House Network via an internet search. After meeting with staff and touring a home, we knew that SHN was a fit for us.
We were not disappointed. We stayed at the Quincy Apartment in Johnston House. It has been a huge blessing. Our family and caretakers have been able to stay here. We have had plenty of space. It is quiet and homey and convenient. We have truly felt at home! We believe God led us here and provided this home just when we needed it. Thanks to HIM and to the great staff at SHN. The kidney transplant was a success and recovery has been made much easier at the Johnston House/Serenity House Network!

Brigid Apt 2016: A private setting while a stem cell transplant patient heals
We feel so blessed to have been able to stay at the Brigid Apartment during my stem cell transplant. Other housing options for transplant patients are wonderful but we wanted more privacy. And being at Brigid, I could have more than one caregiver and visitors when I was feeling well.
Thank you so much for what you do. We pray for continued blessings on your ministry.
Thank you!
Lottie Apt 2016: Fully furnished apartment for a Mayo patient and their caregivers
Staying at the Lottie Apartment was a beginning of a journey I will never forget. Because of the beautiful house and cleanliness of the surroundings, it made it like home. Thank you and God bless your future success. Sincerely,
