Brigid Apt. 2016: Extended stay lodging in Rochester, MN for a Mayo patient and family
Sam and I have spent four months here in Rochester. We have appreciated being able to stay in two of your homes. I was very worried about where we would stay that was clean & comfortable as we went through Sam’s medical procedures. Serenity House Network and its staff far exceeded anything we could have found. The homes are very comfortable & clean, and did become our home away from home.
Greg, Jodie, June Ann, Ronda have been fantastic in making sure we had everything we needed. They are the best!

William Apt. 2016: A short-term stay for a Mayo patient and family
We were guests at Annie’s House, William Apt. while I had neck surgery. Although far from home, we live in Signal Mountain, TN, near Chattanooga, we couldn’t have asked for an apartment that felt closer to home.
This is our second stay with Serenity House Network, once before five years ago with our son, so we knew the quality of care we would be provided. I’m always amazed at the attention to detail — the provision of those little things that we always forget while traveling. The apartment was as comfortable as it could be and close to shopping. It was quiet and an altogether great place to recuperate and prepare for the journey home.
Thank you so much,
Baptist Hospitality House 2016: Short term housing in Rochester, MN for the Jensen Family
Words cannot express the gratitude we have for Serenity House Network during this difficult week. A rapidly growing acoustic neuroma in my husband’s ear brought us to Mayo – Rochester in February and again in May. We have encountered so much kindness here and especially at Serenity House Network. Having a place to gather with family before & during his surgery was a blessing. It was especially nice to have a place for David to come “home” to for a day before our long trip home.
Thank you for making this journey a little easier.
May God continue to bless your ministry.
Erin Apt. 2016: Short term housing for a Mayo patient and family
Thank you very much for the “home” away from home. We really appreciated the bread and carrot cake and the prayer support. It was nice that the three of us got to stay in one place while Linda was going through a heart procedure. Thank you again,
Julianna Apt. 2016: An extended stay in Rochester, MN for a bone marrow transplant patient and family
From the first phone call to inquire about Serenity House Network, to the warm welcome on arrival in Rochester, throughout our stay and finally, on our departure, the owners and staff of Serenity Housing Network have been fantastic. Greg did a great job of describing what the mission of SHN is when we visited on the telephone, and the impact it would have on the treatment that was facing Mary Lou. Jodie, on arrival in July, gave us insight into the forthcoming bone marrow transplant procedure, assuring us that this process was going to be lengthy, but in the end, worth it. The staff recognized birthdays we had in July with generous cakes to bring a sense of normalcy to our lives that felt turned upside down. Finally, on our departure, Greg’s tearful, heartfelt kind “good-bye” made our leaving bittersweet; happy and relieved to be able to return home, but also so appreciative of the supportive people that had worked to make our stay comfortable that were so good to us.
We are so happy that we chose to stay with Serenity Housing Network. During our stay, another transplant patient commented to us about their 3-week stay in a local hotel, and how they were waiting for a Serenity Housing Network home to open up for their arrival. Both of us realize now how fortunate we were to stay with SHN during the transplant and after-care. The ability to live in the privacy of a home and be near Mayo Clinic for our treatment that may be required is the greatest selling point Serenity Housing Network has; couple that with great, caring people and their mission statement is being lived out by them.
In closing, we have to let you know Mary Lou continues to do well on the road to remission. Her appointments are now every other week rather than weekly, and she is in Day 72, with Day 100 quickly approaching. We cannot thank you enough for your part in recovery from the transplant that has been so remarkable, and know that your mission should continue for as long as you can provide this service.
Thank you!
Baptist Hospitality House 2016: Extended stay lodging for a patient recovering from surgery
The first gift of the Baptist Hospitality House is easy living. The physical design allowed us to move in and feel securely at home almost immediately.
The second gift is the graceful care of Jodie, Greg, and Joanna. They were available and reliably ready to help us with any problems we encountered.
The third gift are the values of the Hospitality House — carefully grounded in caring values and goodness. We felt supported in the way needed for recovery from serious spinal surgery.
Thank you for taking care of us.
With deep gratitude for this wonderful ministry,
Scott Apt. 2016: The Erickson Family’s extended stay in Rochester, MN

William Apt. 2016: Medical Lodging for a Mayo Clinic patient receiving chemo
We certainly enjoyed our stay at our “home away from home” here at the William Apartment.
It was so convenient to have such a comfortable bed, beautifully stocked kitchen with all the necessary utensils, and nice living quarters. It made our stressful situation during Shaun’s chemo treatments so much easier to handle to have such a “homey” place to come back to after he got out of the hospital.
Jodie & Greg could not have been more helpful and understanding. The birthday and anniversary cakes they delivered were such a nice treat as well.
We have been very blessed to have found such a wonderful organization and thoughtful caring individuals.
God bless you all,
