Red River House: Otero Family
January 11, 2013 – February 6, 2013
Heidi and Kevin,
I love the Red River House! What a truly beautiful place. The first time I saw the apartment on the SHN website, I knew this was the place to bring my son. The apartment was our home-away-from-home. Thank you so very much for making our stay so nice and welcoming. Thank you for all the kind words and letting me cry if I needed to. My son is doing great and is a new man!
Again, thank you.
Holly’s House Michael Apt: Kanuk Family
Being away from our home in the dead of winter for 4 weeks to attend the Pain Rehabilitation Center program with our daughter was something we dreaded.
But the home-away-from-home at Holly’s House made it more than bearable. The apartment was CLEAN (immaculately clean), cozy, homey and spacious! We were so happy to have this as our safe haven to decompress and relax after long, grueling days at St. Mary’s and all the social activities we attended!
Thank you!

We have been here just a few hours and our family is humbled by your generosity. The welcome basket with items hand-picked for our daughter and grandson is unbelievable!
We feel at home and the anxiety we felt at the hotel – those days in such a small place with 4 people – has left me.
The two of you are amazing servants of our Lord. We are very appreciative!!!
Thank you. We are so very grateful to you both!
Our grandson says, “Is this our home? It’s got the American flag!”

Greg and Jodie, This was such a wonderful place to call “home” sice December 3, 2012. Cozy, warm, and comfortable! Our twice daily trips to Mayo Clinic for Ron’s stem cell transplant were easy driving. Continue with your mission to provide affordable hospitality to those in health crisis. The Christmas tree made it special during this holiday season. God Bless,

What a treasure this place is. The ministry put a lot of thought into this place. Just go across the street, through the parking lot and you’re in Mayo Clinic. The convenience allowed me to rest between appointments. Thank you,

The Michael apartment at Holly’s House has been a wonderful place to call home as we waited for our daughter, Emily, to receive her new heart. She got it on November 5th and the Michael apartment proved to be the ideal spot for our family to come and go from. Your caring and extra touches meant so much to us as we went through these difficult days. The furry blanket is the BEST! Thank you for everything.

Greg and Jodie,
Serenity House was the perfect choice for us while Sylvia went through a Bone Marrow Transplant at Mayo Clinic. The Patrick apartment was a great place for reflection and meditation while being close to the Clinic for our twice daily visits. Being close to good shopping and churches was an added bonus.
God Bless!
PS Thanks for making your peaceful home our peaceful home-away-from-home. It was wonderful, Sylvia
White River House Priscilla Apartment: Frandsen Family
November 7- December 7, 2012 What a perfect place to stay while I attended the PRC at Mayo! Clean, cozy and comfortable. Thank you so much!
Serenity House Brigid Apartment: Burris Family
Such a great “home away from home” to come to everyday while being here in Rochester. We’ve been here almost 5 weeks while Bob had a stem cell transplant for Multiple Myeloma. The long days of testing and treatment were made just a little bit easier knowing we could come “home” and rest. The Brigid Apartment in Serenity House was very clean, well furnished and we felt very safe here. Thank you Greg and Jodie for offering such a great place.
God Bless you both,
Sincerely,

Dear SHN, Greg and Jodie,
Thank you doesn’t seem enough to say for all you have given to us during our stay here. The home is perfect and we felt so at home. Thank you even more for the friendship and support you have given during this most difficult journey of bone marrow transplant. Greg – I will miss our almost daily chats. You helped me cope when I just wasn’t sure I could. Thank you for following God’s call for your life!
God Bless!!!
