Runerson’s Twin Pines is a private home remodeled in the summer of 2016. It includes main floor living aside from the laundry which is located in the basement. This quiet home has a living room, eat-in-kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The master bedroom is fully furnished with a Queen bed and a flat screen TV as well as an adjoining half bathroom. The second and third bedrooms have a Queen- and Full-sized bed respectively. Twin Pines has additional space for relaxing and for privacy including an office and a 1-2 season sunroom usable on moderate temperature days and is furnished with a rattan furniture set. Twin Pines also has private outdoor space with a gas grill and a small backyard with gardens. One attached garage stall with remote is included.

Twin Pines House 2021: Fully Furnished Home For Mayo Clinic Kidney Transplant Patient And Family In Rochester, MN
We came to the Mayo Clinic so that I could have both native kidneys removed and a living donor transplant from my brother. We live in New England. I am from Connecticut and my brother lives in Vermont. Serenity House Network was the perfect solution for our housing needs as we both recovered. The house was big enough to allow us our own private areas if needed but also allowed us to be together and encourage each others progress. Luckily we each liked a different recliner so there wasn’t any competition there!
The house has been perfect. The neighborhood is great for walking. Everyday there was a different goal as we started to feel better.
We also did a few “field trips” during the recovery process. We walked some trails at Quarry Hill Nature Center and visited the Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Rochester. It was lovely. When my kids came out to visit we brought a picnic lunch to Cascade Lake and trails. While there they explored the playscape and beach. That too was lovely.
Thank you SHN for making us feel so comfortable during this amazing experience. It was great to have the full kitchen and laundry at our disposal. We feel truly blessed to be on this side of our journey. Thank you for making this possible.
