There are many stressors that are created with such a serious surgery. Dottie’s Place made the process much easier to digest and became a our home away from home.

Due to the timing of the transplant, we celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s here. Our “House Mom” (SHN Volunteer) was great and brought us pie and treats to help celebrate.

SHN was the best option for us versus a hotel or Airbnb due to the cleanliness of the home. Post transplant immune systems are very sensitive and having a place that was properly cleaned helps avoid any illnesses that may prolong recovery.

The proximity to St. Mary’s Hospital and Mayo Clinic made the daunting number of appointments we had to attend, easy to navigate.

Between the amazing staff at Mayo and the Serenity House Network, our daughter was able to be home 9 weeks after receiving the “Heart Call” which was beyond our expectation! We are so grateful and will be recommending Serenity House Network to all who would benefit in the future.

Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay. It’s so much more than just a ‘place’ to stay. It’s a safe, clean, home away from home. Well thought out place to provide a home while at Mayo. The past 14 months have been a long journey. We stayed at the Neighborhood Nook for a month during March and April. Then this time at the James apartment. We loved both locations. We have fallen in love with Rochester (except the wind and cold). We would never stay anywhere but Serenity House Network. Being at James has been exceptional because of all the staff, especially June Ann, Becky and Greg.

We’re praising the Lord for the gift of a new liver for our daughter. We will probably never return to MN but it, Mayo Clinic and SHN will always be in our hearts. Thank you for your ministry.

Thank you to Serenity House Network for the blessing of Shannon’s Place. It was perfect for our needs as we journeyed through a stem cell transplant. God is good!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 months while I was receiving treatment for Myelofibrosis. Everyone at Serenity House Network was very helpful when something at the home needed attention. Brent next door, was always smiling and would wave hello when outside. Neighborhood Nook was a great home away from home. I hope that anyone else who stays here has the same experience.

We feel very fortunate to have found such nicely maintained sanctuary for our stem cell transplant journey. There are many pleasant walks nearby; we especially enjoyed IBM park and the Cascade loop trail. Northgate gym is a very clean facility as well and be sure to stroll up to Flapdoodles for some ice cream. May your journey be as comfortable as ours.

Thank you Serenity House Network for the opportunity to stay at Evy’s House. It was truly a blessing during a difficult time. Melissa received her kidney transplant and with all of God’s blessings was able to recover so well and quietly.

When we left Serenity House Network in 2020, we never wanted to come back to the Mayo Clinic for an extended stay. When we found out we needed to come back our first thought was to see if the Doris apartment would be available for us again. My memories of it was that of a comforting place to be during a difficult time…and it was just as I remembered. We are so grateful for Greg and June Ann for their compassion, concern and giving us the place we needed. Once again we hope to never return but are happy to know the apartment is here for others going through this difficult journey. Blessings and peace.

We were so very blessed to stay at Serenity House Network’s Lillian apartment. We are from southern Minnesota and my father went through a stem cell transplant at the Mayo hospital.

The Lillian apartment was a home away from home to our family. Very quiet neighborhood and very friendly neighbors. Greg and staff were always easy to work with and very willing to help out anyway they could.

We will definitely be recommending SHN over and over. Helped make the transplant journey more comfortable.

This house was a blessing to our family while my husband received radiation treatment! The location was perfect and our kids made many good memories here. The house was clean, well organized and fit our needs!
