Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife sightings. See wild turkeys, small game, birds, and of course, the elk and bison that the area is named for. Enjoy it all from the comfort of your vehicle.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*Note that only fully enclosed vehicles are allowed on the path through the Elk &amp; Bison Prairie. Bicyclists, joggers, and motorcyclists are not authorized due to the safety risk posed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Best Time to Visit the Elk and Bison Prairie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can come out year-round and see the wildlife and foliage in person. Each season brings its unique character and beauty to take in. In the spring watch, as the new life cycle begins in the prairie. Flowers and trees bloom while new calves make their debut. During the summer see the wildlife activity increase. In the fall and winter, small game go into hiding while the large elk and bison have their lay of the land.
